My Thoughts

After 25 years of marriage and your husband asks for a divorce? The least you can have is an amazing holiday and a little bit of revenge, of course!
This is a quite interesting book, twisted and with a special magic on it; because if you don’t believe in voodoo, you’ll believe soon…
I’ll have to admit that you can totally understand Alice situation, after having the divorce she decides to enjoy some holidays in the paradise, the Nanm Paradi, where everything is perfect, so perfect that it seems magic! So magic that Alice soon discovers what does it mean to practice Voodoo, a dark magic but really a dangerous one!
I really enjoyed this read, the writer has done an amazing job to describe the paradise and Alice feelings, you can totally understand her anger and desire of revenge, I think that everyone in her situation would feel the same. It doesn’t have to be easy to accept the divorce after a long marriage and being replaced for a “young” woman, but with someone like that, she deserves some peace, don’t you think?
If you are looking for a black humour story, with a beautiful landscape and some very interesting characters this one is your next book, really, What Goes Around is a quick read and delicious! Ready?
