‘Me?’ Suzanne said with a high-pitched squeak.

‘Thank you,’ Suzanne said. ‘I think. But where exactly are you going with this unwarranted flattery?'”

This is the seventh book of the Cackleberry Club Mysteries from the author Laura Childs. You can read this book as a standalone, the characters are well explained and you don’t feel like you are missing any part of the story!
This is a cozy mystery, with approachable characters and feeling like you are part of the story, listening to the new Suzanne’s adventure while you are enjoying one of her specialities.
I have to say I finished the book quite intrigued with the story of some of the characters… what does the devil seller wants? Junior, the “husband” of one of Suzanne best friends is quite an element… how it will end his new business idea? Please, I need to know!
After reading this book, you will have a smile on your face, it has a happy ending, but the best part of ending this book are the recipes you find at the last pages, to allow you to try the savoury dishes you read during all the story!
This is a quick read book, but there are a few twists and second stories inside the plot that will keep you intrigued till the end, and there’s a twist with the killer too! 🙂
