This story is . . .
YOUR GUILTY SECRET.

My Thoughts

This is one of those books that you can not stop reading, addictive and intriguing will keep you glued till the end.
How many times have you looked at someone famous wanting to know what they had sacrificed to be a star? Because this book is about being famous at all costs, risking everything to be on the focus light, even our own essence.
This is the story of Lara King and how her life changed in front of her eyes after the disappearing of her daughter Ava, the life she had created with detail is falling in front of her eyes; the main question will be, what does she prefer to loose her daughter or her fame?
The story is told in three different point of views, making the story more complex and realistic. On one front we have Lara’s view, her life before before being famous, making the reader understand more her character and decisions. We also have how the investigation unfolds and the different characters involved on it. And last we have some blog posts talking about Lara’s life, and they seem to know more about Lara than the rest of the world…
This is a book to make you think about the fame, even if we always admire some “star”, we always have to remember that not all the stars shine and that all of them have a past; and we should wonder what we really don’t see of them, because no one is perfect, even if they try to be.
If you are looking for a different book about a missing girl this one is for you, twisted and dark it will make you re-think about the world we live.
