Love, Unscripted by Owen Nicholls
About The Book
For Nick, love should look like it does on the big screen. And when he meets Ellie on the eve of the 2008 presidential election, it finally does. For four blissful years, Nick loved Ellie as much as he loved his job as a film projectionist in his local cinema. Life seemed picture-perfect. But now it’s 2012, Ellie has moved out and Nick’s trying to figure out where it all went wrong. With Ellie gone and his life falling part, Nick wonders if their romance could ever be as perfect as the night they met.
Can love really be as it is in the movies?
This is the perfect story to remember us that love is unexpected, risky and special, but it’s worth every minute!
Nick’s life is a total mess right now; Ellie has just left him and he doesn’t know how to act about it; really! He hasn’t told anyone that Ellie has left, he even is planning to hang her clothes on the window just in case anyone asks if she is not living with him anymore! He has been always looking for the “perfect move love”, but I am sure that you are well aware that it doesn’t exist, so he will have to start changing his way to see things if he wants to have a different life! Love is something different for everyone and worth every minute of it, but is never perfect; it has ups and downs! Nick will share his memories from the beginning of the relation with Ellie and from the present, when he has to re-think everything he has done and start discovering what is really love!
I loved all the funny situations during the story and the sweet scenes of some of the most famous love movies, I’ve seen almost all of them! I am a movie addict and I suppose I have my preconceived way to see love, but I would like to think that love is like the movies but better! And I think that’s what Nick will have to learn on this beautiful story, that nothing is perfect because this is the best way to be, a perfect love would not be as funny and interesting as it is if everything goes always as planned, don’t you think?
While you are reading this book you’ll have always a smile on your face while you remember all the beautiful movies quoted in the book!
