About The Book

A moment on the platform changes two lives forever. But nothing is as it seems…
‘Take my baby.’
In a split second, Morgan’s life changes forever. A stranger hands her a baby, then jumps in front of a train.
Morgan has never seen the woman before and she can’t understand what would cause a person to give away her child and take her own life.
When the police question Morgan, she discovers none of the witnesses can corroborate her version of events. And when they learn Morgan longs for a baby of her own, she becomes a suspect.
To prove her innocence, Morgan frantically tries to retrace the last days of the woman’s life. She begins to understand that Nicole Markham believed she and her baby were in danger. Now Morgan might be in danger, too.
Was Nicole a new mother struggling with paranoia?
Or was something much darker going on?

My Thoughts

What can make a mother leave her new born baby to an unknown and jump in front of a train?
This is how this story begins, and Morgan is the one to see everything first hand, the problem is that she will be the first suspect too! You’ll maybe ask why is she a suspect if Nicole has jumped, the problem is that no one except Morgan has seen anything and the police will not believe her, she is desperate to have a child and now she has one… Morgan will be desperate to prove her innocence but as soon as she starts investigating she will start fearing for her life. Maybe Nicole had a strong motive to jump in front of the train in the end…
This story will be told with flashbacks from Nicole’s past to tell the reader how everything started to have a so drastic ending; while we will be reading Morgan’s attempts to discover what has really happened.
This is a twisted and addictive read, but it was interesting the insight of being a mother and the fears we have of the precious life we have on our hands. Nicole is afraid of her life and her daughter, but the reader will not know why she is so scared; is she having postnatal depression or someone is trying to hurt them? I’ll admit that it was really interesting reading her thoughts and making the reader try to decide what’s really happening on the story. It seems that there are quite a few people around Nicole that would have motives to hurt her, but enough to kill her? And, will Morgan risk her life if she discovers the truth? So many questions… and the only way to know all the answers is to read the book, of course!
Woman on the Edge will put any reader on the edge too, ready?

About The Author

I’m a Toronto-based journalist and freelance editor who’s written extensively for Now Magazine, Oxford University Press, and several other publications. I’m also the co-founder of “BookBuzz,” a promotional and interactive author-reader event held in New York City and Toronto that has attracted the attention of prominent publicists, influential media, and bestselling authors. I hold a Master of Education in Applied Linguistics and credit that degree with my writing career because I wrote my first novel while taking a course on imagination. Now my imagination leads me to create dark and twisty stories, and my debut psychological thriller, WOMAN ON THE EDGE, will be published in nine countries world-wide, including with Garzanti in Italy, Roca Editorial in Spain, Heyne in Germany, General Press in Hungary, Euromedia in the Czech Republic, Ikar in Slovakia, Znak in Poland, and in North America with Simon and Schuster Canada, and the UK with Headline.
I love reading as much as I love writing so if I’m not tapping away at my computer, I’m probably curled up on my couch with a book.
