About The Book

It’s the season of love, forgiveness… and tidings of trouble!
Wynn Beauchene is exactly where she wants to be: a successful business owner and single mum. Lately, however, something feels like it’s missing. Even worse is Wynn’s attraction to the gorgeous policeman next door.
With his pregnant daughter coming to stay, Garrick McCabe has one last chance to repair their strained relationship. Except his daughter seems to have turned into the Grinch, and now Garrick needs Wynn’s help to turn this festive fiasco around… before it’s too late.
For Garrick and Wynn, a little chaos is the perfect gift for revealing what—and who—matters most…

My Thoughts

Christmas is a season to heal and be loved, to be with the people you love and let them help you. For me, Christmas has always had a special meaning with sweet memories and love. Possibly this is why I loved so much this story, it shows the reader the importance of family and love in a lovely story.
This book is based on Wynn and Garrick, they are neighbours and as good neighbours they try to help each other with their problems, but when feelings start to be involved in their friendship they know that this could be more than a flirt. Are they ready for it?
We will not only read about Wynn and Garrick’s love story but also about their families problems in a very interesting and addictive way, because any reader will feel reflected on their situations; the need to be there when your children are hurting, trying to keep them happy and helping everyone around them. A single mother with a teenager or a father with an estranged daughter are never easy; but both families will use this Christmas to heal their wounds and discover the “power” of the family. Because, no matter how hurt or disappointed you can be, sometimes feeling loved and cared is the only think we need.
I really enjoyed this book, it is slow paced and full of emotions, it was easy to feel part of the story and want to know more about the characters and the neighbours that surround them. I really can’t wait to arrive at Christmas and read the story again with all the Christmas lights on! 😉

About The Author

#1 New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery writes heartwarming and humorous novels about the relationships that define women’s lives—family, friendship, romance. She’s best known for putting nuanced characters into emotionally complex, real-life situations with twists that surprise readers to laughter. Because Susan is passionate about animal welfare, pets play a big role in her books. Beloved by millions of readers worldwide, her books have been translated into 28 languages.
Critics have dubbed Mallery “the new queen of romantic fiction.” (Walmart) Booklist says, “Romance novels don’t get much better than Mallery’s expert blend of emotional nuance, humor, and superb storytelling,” and RT Book Reviews puts her “in a class by herself!” It’s no wonder that her books have spent more than 200 weeks on the USA Today bestsellers list.
Although Susan majored in Accounting, she never worked as an accountant because she was published straight out of college with two books the same month. Sixteen prolific years and seventy-four books later, she hit the New York Times bestsellers list for the first time with Accidentally Yours in 2008. She made many appearances in the Top 10 before (finally) hitting #1 in 2015 with Thrill Me, the twentieth book in her most popular series, the Fool’s Gold romances, and the fourth of five books released that year.
Susan lives in Washington state with her husband, two ragdoll cats, and a small poodle with delusions of grandeur. Her heart for animals has led Susan to become an active supporter of the Seattle Humane Society.
