About The Book

Blaire Calloway has planned every Instagram-worthy moment of her cupcake and cocktails shop launch down to the tiniest detail. What she didn’t plan on? Ronan Knight and his old-school sports bar next door opening on the very same day. He may be super swoony, but Blaire hasn’t spent years obsessing over buttercream and bourbon to have him ruin her chance at success.
From axe throwing (his place) to frosting contests (hers), Blaire and Ronan are constantly trying to one-up each other in a battle to win new customers. But with every clash, there’s also an undeniable chemistry. When an even bigger threat to their business comes to town, they’re forced to call a temporary time-out on their own war and work together. And the more time Blaire spends getting to know the real Ronan, the more she wonders if it’s possible to have her cupcake and eat it too.

My Thoughts

This is the perfect story to keep you warm and happy, perfect to lift up your mood and make you eat a lot of cupcakes, so be prepared!
I don’t think there’s anything that I didn’t love about this story; funny, interesting characters, romantic and with food included! Oh yes, there’s one thing missing, the recipes of all the delicious cupcakes that Blaire makes at her “B&B”, I need them!
This is not a book to think but let the story flow and get all the good vibes from it. Don’t expect a boring story, the characters are interesting with their own background and special situation that makes the story more real and fun!
This is the first book I’ve read from Helena Hunting, but I can assure you it will not be the last one, I loved the way it makes the reader delight with the story and be part of it, also the little quotes at the end of the chapters are little hidden gems, I’ll write them down to never forget them!
“You are a great singer. – love, Wine”
Blaire and Ronan have chemistry together, but it’s not over sweet, they have priorities with their business and dreams, so falling in love is not their priority but something that happened and they will have to adapt to it without changing their paths. Do you think they will make it?
This is a story about friendship, dreams and love; because sometimes it doesn’t matter how much you love if you can’t follow your dreams.
