About The Book

When Regi moves into her new house share, she’s ready for a clean slate. A new home. A new routine. A new identity…
Desperate to escape the shadow of her past that follows her everywhere she goes, Regi finds the ideal distraction in the perfect lives of others on social media.
But as innocent scrolling turns into an unhealthy obsession, Regi will soon learn that seeking perfection comes at a price…

My Thoughts

If you want to be afraid of your own shadow for the next few days, this is the audiobook you need; full of tension and twists it’s addictive, believe me!
I don’t really believe in perfection, but I could totally understand Regi, she needs a new start, to forget all her past and try to start a new life, without fear and being more in control. She has decided to move to a new house and her way to feel more in control is to follow some Instagram accounts, specially Mrs Clean… and when she starts obsessing with her and tries to discover her troll, things will start to crumble around her. Ready? I liked how the story doesn’t try to hide anything from Regi, the story is told between her present and her past, to make the reader fully understand her and her OCD. Because she is not perfect, but she wants to have a life with no one to control her and with a little bit of peace.
I really enjoyed this audiobook, I’ll admit that when I was listening to the past it was a little bit confusing, it’s much easier to turn pages to check where you are! But I can’t complain at all about the atmosphere the audiobook made me feel, it was much better than watching a movie, there is no music to warn you like the typical melodies in a film!
This is a book to make you remember the power of friendship and self esteem; and how dangerous is social media! Ready to move to “The House Mate”?
