About The Book

Jo Campbell is perfectly content in a perfectly structured life.Nothing ever changes in Jo’s life, and she likes it that way.Or at least, she tells herself she does.
Most of the time, she manages to push down the tiny voice that tells her to chase her dream and maybe, just maybe, open her battered and bruised heart up to love.
But to chase her dreams she needs to take chances that are way out of her comfort zone and learn to not put other people’s happiness above her own.
Most of all she has to learn to trust her heart, which may just be the biggest challenge of all.
My Thoughts
This is a book about fears and dreams; of how sometimes we need a small push to see our dreams fulfilled. Because even if they are our life dreams we don’t trust enough our skills to achieve the goal.
“In Pursuit of Happiness” will show us that we should never fear our dreams, they are there to make us happy and make us improve. Sometimes it is not easy to break the barriers we have made around our hearts and we need some external help to see that even if we fail, we have succeeded in trying to achieve our dreams, so not everything is lost.
This is a book to dream, to embrace Jo’s life and believe that we could succeed, is not easy, even Jo is scared to death of not being a good author. But if you don’t try, you’ll never know and one failure will always teach you something to learn and improve for the next time. I always enjoy Claire Allan (Freya Kennedy) books, they are refreshing and sweet; but not only based on the romance but the friendship between the characters and all their stories.
Jo Campbell is loved and cared for by all the community, but her balanced life will start crumbling when the nephew of one of her old friends decides to return home. Lorcas will change Jo’s life but she will change him too, is this love or simply friendship? As you can imagine you’ll have to read the book to know the answers!
