About The Book

A crimewave sweeps through the city and no-one is safe. An arson at the docks. A carjacking gone wrong. A murder in a country park. What connects all these crimes without causes, which leave no clues?
Detective Inspector Helen Grace faces the rising tide of cases which threatens to drown the city. But each crime is just a piece of a puzzle which is falling into place.
And when it becomes clear just how twisted and ingenious this web of crime is, D.I. Grace will realise that it may be impossible to stop it . . .

My Thoughts

Who doesn’t love a good thriller with a relatable police officer? You’ll keep turning pages without even notice, believe me!
This is the 10th book of the “Helen Grace” series, you can read it as standalone, but the books are so well plotted and addictive that I would recommend you to start from the beginning, this way you’ll not have to wait so long for the next book of the series! 😉
Investigating a crime is never easy, so Helen and her team will have to investigate multiple cases that don’t seem to have any relation between them, or at least they think they haven’t…
As you can imagine this will not have an easy case, but this will not be the only problem our main character will have to face in this book, because her best friend is on maternity leave, so the support she always finds will be missed and with her ex-boyfriend mining the team from the inside, Helen will have the worst situation ever. Expect a book full of tension and stressful moments for our main character, it will not be easy, but Helen is brave and intelligent, and she will have to find her inner strength to not succumb to all these little fires in her life.
If you are looking for a fast paced thriller, this is a must, believe me.
Are you ready for “Truth Or Dare”?
