About The Book

This had been a tense and addictive read, with an undercover police detective whose line between acceptable and unacceptable is blurred and likes to make things his own way… In this case we will meet some of the same characters we met on Rubicon, with the same doubts and friendship between them…

Sam Batford is not a likeable character and with his own moral law, but he has his own special charm enchanting the reader. It makes them want to know more about the character, even if it’s against their common sense want him to success and survive the cat and mouse game he is involved on this book.

This had been a twisted book, addictive and dark that I loved every page, not only because of the case but because of the interesting characters on it! This is the second book of the Sam Batford series, you can read it as standalone, but let me say that is worth starting for the first book!
