I’ve always been fascinated by hourglasses, how you can spend hours watching the sand flow without noticing the time passing. The Esington Glass is quite peculiar if you ask me, is made with a borosilicate glass that contains boron trioxide which allows for a very low coefficient of thermal expansion. This means it will not crack under extreme temperature changes like regular glass. And with solid Iron nanospheres. Why these type of nanospheres? Because the Esington Glass comes with a clock stopper making it easy to control the flow and a symbolic way to pause the time when you need some relax during work.
So, the silicone stopper is designed to have a unique feeling and a satisfying soft “click” into place to stop the timer. Original am I right?

The Esington is a 25 minutes clock and the solid iron nanospheres produce a soothing white noise for the first 20 seconds to act as a cue to start your work habit, it seems that really helps focusing! I’ll have to try it! 😉

This is not the first project from this creators on Kickstarter, and it seems the first Easington was a hit! This time it costs 52€, not cheap but you’ll have a clock and a beautiful decoration at the same time. So what more do you need?
