My Thoughts

Stella Harvey lived for a short period in a beautiful island when she was young, now after so many years a body appears at the house she was living. She couldn’t resist and return to discover the truth and what happened to her older friends. Will she be risking her life too? You’ll have to read the book to discover the truth!
This is a psychological thriller full of family secrets and twists. Because soon after leaving the Evergreen Island Stella’s family totally disintegrated; her parents divorced, her older sister and alcoholic and his brother leaved them. So now she decides to return to Evergreen to discover what really made her family leave so quick in the middle of a stormy night? So many questions that will be solved chapter by chapter between the past and the present, to not leave anything left! I always guess what can a family can love one minute and hate the other forever. This is the case of this book, in a totally twisted level, there’s a body included too! Stella is really decided to move all the stones to have all her answers, but she will have so many more that we’ll see how she copes with everything.
I was totally engrossed with this story; the secrets, the lies, the hidden truths made this book unstoppable and an amazing read. The characters are well described and the island and their citizens are another important character, so atmospheric and twisted!
Come Back For Me is the best title for this book, you simply have to ask what do you really need to come back? 😉

About The Author

Heidi Perks lives by the sea in Bournemouth with her husband and two children.
Heidi graduated from Bournemouth University with a BA (Hons) in Retail Management, and then enjoyed a career in Marketing before leaving in 2012 to focus on both bringing up her family and writing.
Heidi successfully applied for a place on the inaugural Curtis Brown Creative online Novel Writing Course and after that dedicated her time to completing her first novel, Beneath The Surface.
She has a huge interest in what makes people tick and loves to write about family relationships, especially where some of the characters are slightly dysfunctional.
Her second novel, Now You See Her was published by Century, part of the Penguin Random House group in 2018 and became a Sunday Times Bestseller and Richard and Judy book club pick.
Her third novel Come Back For Me is out July 2019 and she is now writing her fourth to be released in 2020.
