dark plans…
Hemlock Jones & The Underground Orphans is the second of the Hemlock Jones Chronicles, the award-winning series of detective adventures for children and adults.

My Thoughts

I suppose you know that Sherlock Holmes is not the only person living at Backer Street, am I right? Because it seems that the heroine of this story, Hemlock Jones, lives at 211b Baker Street and you know what? She doesn’t like much Sherlock Holmes, I suppose there’s a little bit of rivalry between them, but he always gets the credit!
Hemlock Jones is a young but intelligent and brave girl (she is only 12) but she is ready to discover where the missing orphans have gone. Because someone is behind it, that’s for sure, and it will let them to the dark London; full of dangerous things and scary adventures! And don’t worry, Hemlock will not be alone on this adventure, Edward is on her side, they make a curious couple but they make the story work perfectly!
I am sure you’ll have a few laughs too, Hemlock is quite peculiar, she hates Sherlock but she is not so different from him.
This is a young adult adventure, but no matter the age you have, you’ll enjoy this story, I am sure! Even if this is the second book of the series Hemlock Jones Chronicles, you can follow perfectly the story, the characters are really well explained and easy to enjoy.
