About The Book

The serial killer is behind bars. But the murders are just beginning…
DC Maggie Jamieson’s past comes back to haunt her in this dark and gripping serial killer thriller.
Three missing women running out of time…
They were abducted years ago. Notorious serial killer Bill Raven admitted to killing them and was sentenced to life.
The case was closed – at least DC Maggie Jamieson thought it was…
But now one of them has been found, dismembered and dumped in a bin bag in town.
Forensics reveal that she died just two days ago, when Raven was behind bars, so Maggie has a second killer to find.
Because even if the other missing women are still alive, one thing’s for certain: they don’t have long left to live…

My Thoughts

DC Maggie Jamieson will have to face the worst fear of any police officer in this case, not knowing if the culprit you put in prison was innocent or guilty. Ready?
Reading a case with Maggie always means an interesting and surprising case, she is intelligent and always trusts her instincts, even if it means that she will have to investigate more till she discovers all the dark secrets of the case. Because since the beginning in this case Maggie knows that Bill Raven can not be innocent, even if the victims seem to have killed while he was already in prison… so this will mean that there’s an accomplice or something much worst. Don’t try to guess, simply start reading!
I’ve always been interested to know what happens if a person who has been in prison for a while and has been pronounced guilty, when there are new clues in the case and the police start doubting of their involvement in it; what do they do and how they proceed about it. This had been revealing and interesting, also I had some good answers for my questions too!
I’ll admit that Noelle Holten does an amazing work with her books, the police procedure is interesting and detailed, giving the reader an insight on how police officers work without any boring situation and almost being part of the case.
This is the second book of the series DC Maggie Jamieson, you can read it as standalone, but the story is so good that I would start with the first one. Don’t get me wrong, the connection between the characters is fully detailed and you don’t miss anything, but you’ll love so much this book that I would suggest you to start from the beginning.
