The Split by Sharon J. Bolton
About The Book
SHE’S GOT NOWHERE LEFT TO HIDE.
A year ago, in desperation, Felicity Lloyd signed up for a lengthy research trip to the remote island of South Georgia.
It was her only way to escape.
AND NOW HE’S COMING FOR HER.
Freddie Lloyd has served time for murder. Out at last, he’s on her trail.
And this time, he won’t stop until he finds her.
BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU RUN, SOME SECRETS WILL ALWAYS CATCH UP WITH YOU…
I had the pleasure to enjoy this book as an audiobook, it was so interesting and addictive that I was all day glued to my headphones, and I’ll have to admit that it was much easier to concentrate on the audio these days than reading it! So, if you are struggling with books, try this audiobook, I am sure you’ll love it! 😉 Maybe I am a little biased, I’ve been reading books by this author since the beginning, Sharon J. Bolton is one of my favourite authors, twisted and mysterious her books are always a must read!
In this case the story is told between different times, the present and the past (recent past) but the main characters will be the same, but we will discover what links them together and what is really happening thanks to the back story. Because, the story begins with Felicity Lloyd, she seems to be hiding from someone (almost at the end of the world), what we don’t know is the why and who. On the other side there’s a mysterious character who seems to stalk her, why? There are so many questions on this book! It took me a while to discover the plot of the story, there were a few “twists” that I predicted from the beginning but it didn’t spoil the story or the ending!
A part from the mystery of the book, I loved the background of the story, the scientific part of the book is so interesting! Who doesn’t love to learn something when they are reading?
This had been an amazing trip, original and addictive, The Split is your next read, ready?
