About The Book

If there are two sides to every story, someone is always lying…
Jack: Three words to describe my wife: Beautiful. Ambitious. Unforgiving.
Anna: I only need one word to describe my husband: Liar.
When a woman is murdered in Blackdown village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Anna’s ex-husband, DCI Jack Harper, is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation.
Someone is lying, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.

My Thoughts

Who’s truth can you believe, his or hers? Because there’s only one truth… so who’s really the killer?
I totally loved this story, told between three different sides, the reader doesn’t know who to trust! On one side we have DCI Jack Harper, who spent the night with the victim, but he was afraid to tell the truth in case he became a suspect. On the other side, we have famous Anna Andrews, who has returned home after a while and knows all the victims. And then, some fragments of the killer’s point of view! So, who can you trust?
This is one of those stories that the reader goes crazy to try to discover the truth before the ending, because neither Jack or Anna could have been the killers, but in one chapter you believe one character is the killer, and in the next one is the other! You really don’t know who to trust or who is playing with your mind, I loved every page! I’ll admit that the author, Alice Feeney, has done an amazing work with the twists and tension on the story, the reader really doesn’t know who is telling the truth.
It was super addictive to read and impossible to put down, with short chapters and so many twists during the story I spent all night reading the book, believe me, you’ll have the same problem as me.
If you are looking for a tricky book to spend this night, this should be your first choice! Ready?
