About The Book

In Poppy Page’s mind, there are two types of women in this world: those who are faithful to their husbands, and those who are not. Until now, Poppy has never questioned which she was.
But when handsome, charming Matthew Gordon walks back into her life after almost two decades, that changes. Poppy makes a single mistake – and that mistake will be far more dangerous than she could imagine.
Someone is going to pay for it with their life . . .

My Thoughts

Can a little mistake turn into something dangerous and lethal? Oh yes, you only have to read this addictive psychological thriller to be convinced!
I’ll say that I am not objective when you talk about Jane Corry’s books. I’ve read almost all of her stories and they are always twisted and complex to make the reader impossible to stop turning pages and this case hasn’t been different.
This is the story of Poppy Page, she is married and with two daughters, she is not unhappy, but you can’t neither say that she is happy, she is simply living. So, when an old lover appears in her life, everything will start crumbling in her world when she does a little mistake… That’s all I can say!
The story is interesting, told between the perspectives of Poppy and her mother-in-law and with some intriguing scenes of a court law. In the beginning you don’t know what is the involvement of the three perspectives in the plot, but as the story progresses every piece fits in its place.
This is a story full of lawyers and characters, it’s interesting on how humans always repeat the same mistakes, but maybe, just maybe in this case the story will not repeat itself and the end will not be the same…
If you are looking for an addictive and well written story, Jane Corry is the author you should seek, there’s always a rollercoaster!
