About The Book

It’s easy to put someone in the friend zone. But what happens if you change your mind?
Bea isn’t happy. Desperate for a change, she looks to her friends for inspiration. Every single one of them is paired off, perhaps that’s what she needs too.
So, she starts dating again. But everywhere she goes – amid the hilarious and scarring dates – there’s Peter. Good old, oddball. Peter, her closest friend from university. He’s always been firmly in the friend zone but something’s happened lately – he seems taller, more handsome and suddenly making him smile is Bea’s favourite thing.
But how can Bea possibly risk their friendship? And how do you even go about taking someone out of the friend zone?
What if Bea and Peter were only ever meant to be just friends…
My Thoughts
There’s one thing that I always have in my mind, if you base your life on the negative things you’ll never be happy; I think this is how this book starts.
Bea seems to think that everyone is happy while she is not, so she decides to date again to be happy, thinking maybe a partner in her life will change her… There are a lot of things wrong with this statement, if you are not happy with yourself, you’ll never be happy with anyone, and Bea will have to learn it the hard way. The good thing is that Bea has a good friend always on her side, Peter, trustworthy and patient Peter… They have been friends forever, but now things have started to change, is it worth trying to be something more?
This had been a very relatable story, it doesn’t mean that you don’t want to shout at Bea sometimes or hug Peter for his patience, no one is perfect and we all have our good and bad moments! And it felt real, the characters didn’t pretend to be perfect or have a perfect life, only to be happy and have their own happy moment.
This is a sweet book, to make you appreciate the good things in your life and see some others with fresh eyes.
It’s easy to enter the story and keep reading till the last page, because in the end it will not matter the ending but the trip all the characters have done together.
