About The Book

For decades, Agneta has always known that this moment would come, but she is shaken. She knows what it means.
Retrieving her weapon from its hiding place, she attaches the silencer and creeps up behind her husband before pressing the barrel to his temple.
Then she squeezes the trigger and disappears – leaving behind her wallet and keys.
The extraordinary murder is not Sara Nowak’s case. But she was once close to those affected and, defying regulations, she joins the investigation. What Sara doesn’t know is that the mysterious codeword is just the first piece in the puzzle of an intricate and devastating plot fifty years in the making . . .

My Thoughts

This is a spy mystery thriller, full of twists and interesting characters! I have to say that I was intrigued with this book, I loved the mysterious cover and the plot; a sleeping agent that is re-activated by a phone call after decades. It reminds me of the series “The Americans”; all the tension and twists that keep you glued to the plot making it impossible to look away. This is a book with multiples stories in it; terrorism, cold war, politics… Of course at the beginning we just have characters with their own story, but as the book progresses we’ll start seeing the connection between everything and how well plotted the author has made this story. This is a story to read in calm, there are different focuses and times that can be tricky at the beginning; who is Agneta? What is Sarah’s case related to the mystery word “Geiger”? Who is the mysterious terrorist? There are multiple questions and plots popping to the reader’s mind all the time, and this is what this makes this book so interesting. You can’t stop thinking what will come next! I really enjoyed discovering both characters of the story; Agneta and Sarah. They are both exceptional women and their story is a big part of the plot; even if Sarah is the main character, I have to say that I was more intrigued with Agneta! There are some questions unanswered so I hope this will be a series and we will know more about the story soon! Are you ready to be activated by “Geiger”?
