About The Book

Who better to mend a broken heart than your sister?
When Daisy’s dad married Sage’s mum, Daisy was thrilled to get a new sister. Except Sage was beautiful and popular, everything Daisy was not, and she made sure Daisy knew it.
Sage found herself living in a palatial home where she felt she didn’t belong. She didn’t have her new sister’s intelligence so she used her popularity as a weapon, putting Daisy down at every opportunity. After the divorce, the stepsisters’ rivalry continued until the final straw: Daisy married Sage’s first love, and Sage fled to Europe.
Eighteen years later, Daisy never expects—or wants—to see Sage again. But brought together by an accident involving the little sister they have in common they must learn to put aside their differences. Slowly, the stepsisters begin to view the past through one another’s eyes and long buried feelings are revealed. Until their fragile truce is threatened by one careless act that could have devastating consequences….

My Thoughts

I think that when summer approaches I start to look for happy and refreshing books. Books that I can relate with the characters, give me some laughs and sweet moments. Do you look for the same?
The Stepsisters is a book that I couldn’t stop reading (and didn’t want to, let’s be honest!)
This is the story of three stepsisters; they have never been good friends, but now they will be reunited again. Because, in the moments of need, the sisters try to help each other, even if they were never the best friends.
I really enjoyed this book, it was easy to fall for the three sisters and their stories and always understanding why they didn’t get along before. But now that they need each other and they are adults, maybe things will be different and they will be able to let the past rest and make some truce… or not!
This is a quick read, mainly because you feel part of it, you’ll feel connected to one of the sisters, I am sure and then you’ll grow with them. Because neither of us is perfect and neither are them, they will have to accept each other’s faults but most importantly, their own.
