About The Book

Evie Cross had big dreams of becoming an investigative journalist but at 25 and struggling to make it in New York City, she’s finally starting to admit that her dream is her side hustle and her day job is actually… her job. That is, until she signs on as a temp for a small consultancy whose principal, Misha Meserov, specializes in breaking up relationships. Misha is tall, infuriatingly handsome, and effortlessly charismatic—he can make almost anyone, man or woman, fall into bed with him. And he often does. But the more Evie is exposed to Misha’s scandalous world, the more she becomes convinced that he’s hiding something… when a wealthy San Francisco tech CEO with a dissolving marriage starts delving into the occult and turns up dead, Evie has to decide between her journalistic desire for the truth and her growing desire for Misha.
My Thoughts
This is a book that intrigued me since I read the plot, an agency that is specialized in break-ups… the idea is good, but let’s be honest it can be quite dangerous depending on who you are trying to break-up with, don’t you think?
This is quite an adventurous story; with fantasy and romance it was difficult to not fall in love with this story!
Evie is a young woman, she still doesn’t know what does she want in life and when she starts working with the mysterious Misha her world will start crumble around her… Will she be strong enough to face her fears and take a step further to fulfill her dreams? You’ll have to read the book to know more about this story, of course! I really enjoyed this story, sometimes Evie feel a little bit lost in her life, but I think this is what the author wants, to make her evolve while the story passes and she becomes more confident about herself and her feelings.
This is a mystery story, but with a touch of paranormal and some real characters; because even if they can be special sometimes they don’t expect to be perfect, maybe a little evil or dangerous, but never flawless!
If you are looking for a read to surprise you, this is possibly the one you should read, you’ll love it, believe me! 😉
