My Thoughts

I think I’ve been reading Karen Rose’s books since I was 18; the mix of a mystery and a romance story is the perfect book for me. A story where you don’t know if the killer will be caught or it will escape till the next story but always with a happy ending for the main characters. Sometimes you just want an adventure, something to have fun and disconnect, not a book to think and to make you cry; and that’s what Karen Rose books do for me, they make me dream and enjoy the action, “Say Goodbye” is not an exception.
And I have to admit that from this series “Sacramento”, this is my favorite book; the difficult situation from our old and new characters are involved at least have a closure, it was time!
This is a story about a cult and their evil leaders, how they manipulate and force their society to do horrible things to children and women. I have to say that it’s not an easy read if you think about the difficult situations the members of the cult had to live, horrible would be a better word to describe it.
The main characters of this story are Tom, an ex-basketball player but now an FBI agent and Liza, his old friend, who is planning to put her life in order while helping her friends. They’ll both be included in this case, mainly for the need to help their friends to have the closure they need and the reverend has to be stopped.
This is a long book, but it will pass like a short story, once you enter it’s impossible to let go. Also, don’t worry if you haven’t read the previous books of the story, there’s a small resume to put bring everyone up to speed at the beginning and you’ll not feel lost.
