About The Book

You can’t see them. But they can see you.
This forest isn’t charted on any map. Every car breaks down at its treeline. Mina’s is no different. Left stranded, she is forced into the dark woodland only to find a woman shouting, urging Mina to run to a concrete bunker. As the door slams behind her, the building is besieged by screams.
Mina finds herself in a room with a wall of glass, and an electric light that activates at nightfall, when the Watchers come above ground. These creatures emerge to observe their captive humans and terrible things happen to anyone who doesn’t reach the bunker in time.
Afraid and trapped among strangers, Mina is desperate for answers. Who are the Watchers and why are these creatures keeping them imprisoned, keen to watch their every move?
My Thoughts
October is the only month where I love reading horror stories, maybe because of Halloween or due to days start getting shorter, I really don’t know. They make my mood perfect for something a little bit scary and ghostly, but let’s be honest if the story is based around where you live it’s impossible to not want to read it. Don’t you think?
This is a story to haunt you and keep you awake for days; remember, “Stay In The Light”…
When Mina has a car accident, she is lucky to find a place to stay in a bunker in a lost forest, the problem is that this forest has some strange creatures called “The Watchers” and if you are not in the light at night your life could be in danger. So Mina will be a prisoner with 3 other people, trying to find an escape from some eerie creatures that live in the forest. Really, how much scarier a story can be?
I think it’s fair to say that you should read this book during the day and not try to go hiking in the forest for a few days… maybe you’ll be afraid of your own shadow! I always love stories where you can’t fully see what’s haunting you but you can feel it on every page, this book is amazing to put the reader on the border and be scared of everything, believe me!
Are you ready to discover “The Watchers”?
