About The Book

What makes life perfect? Insurance mathematician Henri Koskinen knows the answer because he calculates everything down to the very last decimal. Until he is faced with the incalculable, after a series of unforeseeable events.
After suddenly losing his job, Henri inherits an adventure park from his brother – its peculiar employees and troubling financial problems included. The worst of the financial issues appear to originate from big loans taken from some dangerous men who are very keen to get their money back.
All improbable and complicated problems. But what Henri really can’t compute is love. In the adventure park, Henri crosses paths with Laura, a happy-go-lucky artist with a chequered past, whose erratic lifestyle bewilders him. As the criminals go to increasingly extreme lengths to collect their debts and as Henri’s relationship with Laura deepens, he finds himself faced with situations and emotions that simply cannot be pinned down on his spreadsheets…

My Thoughts

It’s impossible to start reviewing this book without talking first about the cover; it’s astonishing! Original, funny and totally related to the book; one of the best covers I’ve seen this year.
Now, let’s talk a little about the book, I have to say from the beginning that I am a big fan of Antti Tuomainen, his books have a special “je ne sais quoi” that any reader that starts reading one of his books will be a forever fan, believe me.
Of course “The Rabbit Factor” is not an exception; be prepared for some special characters, dark humor and curious situations, the best ingredients to keep you reading all night.
Henri Koskinen is a mathematician, loves to count and needs that all the situations be clear, like maths. But when one day he has to take care of the adventure park his dead brother has left him, he will see his life change in front of his eyes. Of course nothing related to the adventure park will be easy; the workers have all their own ideas, the park will have some money problems and thugs will hunt Henri for money. Expect the unexpected, humor and thrillers are always hand in hand with Antti Tuomainen books, believe me.
This is a book for any reader, it doesn’t matter what you usually read, I am sure you’ll love it, it has everything to keep turning pages!
Are you ready to discover “The Rabbit Factor”?
