Bad Apples by Will Dean
About The Book
A resident of small-town Visberg is found decapitated in the forest
An isolated hilltop community celebrates ’Pan Night’ after the apple harvest
A race against time
As Visberg closes ranks, there could not be a worse time for Tuva Moodyson to arrive as deputy editor of the local newspaper. Tuva senses the scoop of her career, unaware perhaps that she is the story…
“One bad apple can spoil the barrel”Is generally understood to refer to someone who creates problems for other people, and whose actions or behaviors negatively influence the larger group.
I have to admit that this year October books are quite haunting and twisted, “Bad Apples” one of my favorite ones, really! I’ve been following Tuva Moodyson cases for a while and I can’t get enough of her stories; never the same and always with a personal touch, it’s impossible to not fall in love with her and her twisted cases! This time, Tuva will have to investigate quite a complicated and gore case; centered around a special festival called “Pan Night” in Visberg. Not only will the case be extremely gore and scary, all the characters of the story have strong motives to kill. I have to say that I really enjoyed this read, it was dark and haunting, but who doesn’t love something “special” from time to time? If you want to know what makes this book special is the Tuva touch, it’s not a “normal” case, the story not only talks about the case but touches personally the characters, bringing them closer to the reader in a more personal and realistic way, a way to make the reader invested in the plot and characters on it. Even if this is the 4th book of the “Tuva Moodyson” series, you’ll not feel lost or missing anything, but they are really good, start from the beginning, believe me. Are you ready to discover “Bad Apples”, it’s really good…! 😉
