What could be more scary than discovering that the person you love is keeping a secret from you?
DS Amelie Davis has a past, a dark and horrible past, that makes her distrust any men until she meets Edward, her lovely husband. Her nightmare will start when she receives a call asking if she really knows who her husband is…
I have to admit that it was too easy to get addicted to this book, I was turning pages without even noticing it! Just the need to know more about Amelie, her story and discovering the truth! Because Amelie has been investigating a serial killer and when she starts to distrust her husband, some pieces of the investigation start to connect… So, could her husband be a serial killer? Could she have lived all this time with a killer by her side?
I really enjoyed the tension of the book but at the same time how it puts the doubt into the reader’s mind. Are we all so blind to the truth when we think we have found our perfect partner? Could someone lie to your face time after time without any remorse?
So many questions pop to my mind time after time while reading this book, but I think this was the intention of the author, to mess with the reader’s head! Really, really good job!
If you are ready for an addictive and twisted book, you have to read “Don’t Speak”. Ready?

A.J. Park’s real name is Karl Vadaszffy.
