My Thoughts
When a child is missing, it does not only affect the parents and the family of the missing child but all the community. But if the kidnaper taunts the police with some objects from the child, the police is aware that this is not a joke and they have to take the case really seriously. Also, it seems that there was a similar case a few years ago and it didn’t end well… Will the young Hannah Perry be able to return home safely? The help of Dr Cora Lael will be crucial in this case, as she is able to feel emotions and voices from objects… Ready for a very intriguing case?
I have to say that I am not a big believer of fantasy, but in slow doses it can make a case more mysterious and intriguing, don’t you think? In this case, Cora gives the reader the supernatural touch in this kidnapping mystery, but in the right dose, she will try to help with the case. She is not an extravagant or weird character, simply someone very emphatic.
I hope this will not be the only case with Dr Cora Lael, I really liked her and how she handled the situation, as being a child kidnapping everyone is stressed and on high alert, even the police. It’s the perfect story to make the reader choose which of the suspects has more motives or is more dangerous… and run to the last page to discover the truth!
