About The Book

When a woman is found dead in her car in a Norwegian parking garage, everyone suspects an overdose … until a forensics report indicates that she was murdered. Oslo Detectives Frølich and Gunnarstranda discover that the victim’s Kenyan scientist boyfriend has disappeared, and their investigations soon lead them into the shady world of international pharmaceutical deals.
While Gunnarstranda closes in on the killers in Norway, Frølich and Lise, his new journalist ally, travel to Africa, where they make a series of shocking discoveries about exploitation and corruption in the distribution of foreign aid and essential HIV medications.
When tragedy unexpectedly strikes, all three investigators face incalculable danger, spanning two continents. And not everyone will make it out alive…

My Thoughts

When a body of a young woman appears on her car, everyone suspects that this had been an overdose, not the detectives Frølich and Gunnarstranda, who think that this could be a murder. But who would want to kill the young woman? Also she seems to have a boyfriend that has disappeared… Has he killed her? Why?
This has been a very interesting and twisted story; slow paced and with multiple perspectives making the story more interesting. But let me be honest, I wasn’t sure while I was reading it that we would have any good ending for this case! Because as our detectives start to investigate the case, you can’t see any new leads, no one really seems to know anything about the victim’s boyfriend or where he could be! Is he dead or alive? Is there any real motive for him to kill her? So many questions pop-up in the reader’s mind while reading this book that it’s impossible to close the light at night to go to sleep! The only good thing is that these two detectives are like a dog with a bone, they will not stop until they have all the answers for this crime, and believe me, the ride is a must read!
This is the fourth book of the Oslo Detectives series, but they are good, really good and I would not recommend you to miss any of their previous cases, they are all full of layers and intrigue.
Are you ready for the “Little Drummer”?
