Hippocratic Oath
primum non nocere; do no harm
All the doctors have to make a Hippocratic Oath; depending on the country and the hospital the words are different, but all of them start with “ Do No Harm”. So, what can make a doctor break their oath and try to harm a patient?
This is the story of a mother, because even if work is really important for us, family is always first. So, when Anna, a heart surgeon, has to make a difficult decision to kill a patient if she wants to have her own son alive, she knows that this will change her life forever.
But this is a story told between different characters; Anna, the mother that one day arrives at home and can’t find her son and the carer, Paula, is found dead. The detective who is looking for Paula’s killer, Rachel, who is tenacious and suspects that there’s something more in this crime. And then Margot, one of the nurses at Anna’s hospital.
This is a book any thriller lover will love; there’s tension and mystery on every page. It’s a very addictive book, believe me!
I have to say that I was intrigued with the cover and the plot of this book and it hasn’t disappointed me at all, on the contrary, I would highly recommend reading it to anyone!
Well plotted, tense and full of adrenaline; a must read.
