About The Book

DCI Richard Langley from Scotland Yard’s Art and Antiquities Unit joins colleagues from Homicide as they pursue a trail that leads them to St Petersburg and then to Madrid.
Following closely in their footsteps is a maverick private investigator hired by the painting’s owner. Knowing how hard it is to sell on stolen artworks of that calibre, Richard wonders what the motive behind its theft might be.
The answer, when it comes, takes everyone by surprise.

My Thoughts

It’s easy to fall in love with a story when it’s well written and the plot is addictive. But this book had something special, an art mystery from the famous painter “El Greco”; and an intelligent detective to investigate this case, DCI Richard Langley.
I’ve been looking at some art documentaries lately and I am amazed of how dangerous and rich this world is; you’ll see a little glimpse in this book, don’t worry.
When the painting “Spanish Princess” is stolen in London, the police will assign his best art specialist to the case. But this will not be an easy case; there will be twists, murders and a mystery to discover.
It has been easy to enter t o this story and fall in love with it, I really hope that this will not be the only case from DCI Richard Langley! It’s not easy to understand art and he makes it approachable and interesting, I hope we’ll see him soon!
If you are looking for a different mystery that will keep you turning pages, this is the one, believe me! 😉
Are you ready for “Stealing the Spanish Princess”?
