About The Book

Sebastian James Murphy is twenty years, six months and two days old. He loves swimming, fried eggs and Billy Ocean. Sebastian is autistic. And lonely. Veronica wants her son Sebastian to be happy, and she wants the world to accept him for who he is. She is also thinking about paying a professional to give him what he desperately wants.
Violetta is a high-class escort, who steps out into the night thinking only of money. Of her nursing degree. Paying for her dad’s care.
Getting through the dark.
When these three lives collide, and intertwine in unexpected ways, everything changes. For everyone.

My Thoughts

“Less is more”, this is how I would describe this book, with a simple plot this book has the depth of an ocean; rich, powerful and real. You’ll just need some tissues and be ready to loose a piece of your heart to enjoy this read.
I know what it is to be a mother, you against the world and ready to do “almost” anything to make our little ones happy. So, when Veronica contracts an escort for his autist son, Sebastian, their life will change forever.
As I said previously this is not a story with multiple characters or a twisted plot, only a real story that it’s impossible not to feel connected or wanted to cry as the characters grew deep in our heart.
The story shows three perspectives, Veronica, how she would do anything to protect her son but at the same time still not realizing that he is not a child and needs to grow up. And the most difficult thing, she needs to let him go…
Then we have Sebastian, a perfectly healthy young adult, who sees the world in a different way; and sadly is not always accepted or warmed.
Then we have Violetta, a young woman that is working as a consort to pay her money problems. She will be the one that will change Veronica and Sebastian life; for good or bad? You’ll have to read it to know! 😉
I don’t have words to say how much I loved this book; special is the only word that pops in my mind; a must read.
