My Thoughts

Before talking about the story, let me talk a little about the cover; two silhouette of a man and a woman made with the smoke of a coffee. I think this is the most beautiful cover I’ve seen this year, not fancy, real and cute that makes anyone want to know more about the plot. And after the weird couple of years that have been living in, sometimes we don’t need a complicated story but something that we all could relate to and feel connected with the characters. And let me say that this book fits to all the marks, a sweet story but real to make the reader dream but never forget that we are all human and we make errors.
Because this is the story of Simon and Jodie, the typical persons that you would not like if you meet in person; difficult characters and picky, but as an avid reader I know that sometimes this is a protection. A way to keep our real side protected from the world, because we’ve been hurt so many times that this is the only way to feel protected, until someone starts breaking the walls.
This is a very emotive read, to make you appreciate the people around and remember that our past is what made us who we are but that it’s never too late to change and see the life with other eyes.
If you are looking for a story to love and connect, this is your book, a moving story that will make you believe in happiness and friendship.
