The Tri-State Killer has been abducting pairs of women for forty years, leaving no clues behind – only bodies.
Can Liz figure out who the killer in her new family is? And can she save his newest victims before it’s too late
A gripping, original thriller for fans of My Lovely Wife, Netflix’s Making a Murderer, and anyone who’s ever wondered what their family tree might be hiding…

My Thoughts

I’ll start saying that I don’t like much the “DNA” tests that are starting to be so trendy; Discover Your Ancestry… let’s be real, you never know what this “funny” test results will be. And then your DNA will be in their database forever. This is so scary!
So, let’s start with this twisted and original story, Liz Catalano’s birthday gift seems quite funny, discovering her ancestry but the results are more unexpected that she ever thought. She is adopted and on her biological family there’s a serial killer! I don’t think that after reading this book I would like to take this test ever.
But the book was so addictive and twisted that it was impossible to put down, can you imagine being in Liz’s shoes? Meeting a new family that you didn’t know they exist and trying to discover which one of them is a killer?
It was really interesting how the author mixes the present with Liz and her new family and the past, meeting the victims of the Tri-State Killer. A killer who kidnapped pairs of women and left no bodies behind…
This is a highly recommended thriller to read this summer, you’ll not be disappointed. And maybe, will there be a second book? We’ll see, for now, enjoy the “Family Tree”! 😉
