About The Book
Can you see a killer before it’s too late?
On the first day of her new job, D.I. Eva Harris is called to the scene of a brutal murder at the heart of Surrey society. A shocking crime by a meticulous killer – who escaped with the victim’s eyes.
With the body drained of blood and no forensic evidence left at the scene, Harris’ efforts to find the killer becomes desperate. But as her investigation is complicated by corruption at the heart of the police, she doesn’t know who to trust on her own team.
As the pressure mounts, Eva realises the murder is even more horrific than it seems, and her own dreadful history threatens to be drawn out with it…
A slow paced thriller that it will be impossible to put down!
The first day at work, D.I. Eva Harris, will be involved in a dark and cruel killer, but this case will not be as easy as finding a killer, believe me. Because Eva is not sure if the killer her boss believes was responsible for the killings before is the same one they are hunting now… So be prepared for a detailed investigation where every detail could be crucial to discover the truth to catch the killer.
I’ll admit that I loved this story, the main character is intelligent and brave but also has a secret, a secret that is afraid to reveal and that could change things forever…
It was easy to enter to the story, a brutal killer that has to be found with an interesting detective team who are doing everything they can to find the clues and discover the truth. I hope that this will be a long series, I enjoyed the technical details and Eva’s character.
This is a multilayered story, to keep you turning pages without noticing and wanting to know more; it was easy to disconnect from the world a few hours and simply enjoy a good investigation case, believe me, it was much needed!
If you need a good thriller to keep you guessing, this is your book, believe me!
